At Ballotpedia, we are proud of our 15-year history of supporting voters and meeting their needs in innovative and timely ways.

Across the country, Ballotpedia has become a trusted resource for papers, presentations, and debates in the classroom. So, when students began reaching out to us in early 2020 to ask if we had any virtual volunteer opportunities, the Ballotpedia Fellows Program was born.

This virtual program’s mission is twofold - first, to give students a way to learn directly from Ballotpedia’s editorial team and to gain valuable research and writing skills, all while earning service hours. The second, to inspire future generations to engage more deeply in politics and elections.

We are exceptionally proud to be playing a part in the work of building the next generation of informed voters across the country...

But we would not be able to offer these opportunities without the continued support of our readers and BP community, which is why we hope you will support Ballotpedia this GivingTuesday ([link removed] .

Since our first class, the Ballotpedia Fellows Program has impacted more than 120 students in massive ways. Our fellows have learned valuable research skills, developed confidence and self efficacy, and found a passion for the work of building an informed electorate.

One of our first fellows shared his experience:
“Thank you so much for providing students with this amazing opportunity! I'm so glad to have been able to do something so interesting and impactful over the summer. The coronavirus put so many obstacles in the way for students, which is why I am so grateful that you and the rest of the Ballotpedia team helped us out this summer.” - Ethan V.

As we prepare to welcome our tenth class of fellows this spring, we hope you will support Ballotpedia ([link removed] so that we can continue programs that make transformational opportunities available to students across the country.

Best,
Leslie Graves
President and CEO of Ballotpedia
