This is especially urgent as harsh winter conditions have arrived. With no end in sight to the war and the cruel attacks on civilians and health care workers continuing, the situation feels increasingly dire. The long cold winter created an alarming new challenge in keeping internally displaced people safe. Nearly a quarter of them don’t have safe housing for winter, including a lack of power or gas. This could be deadly as temperatures rapidly decline.
But as the situation in Ukraine evolves, so does our response. We’re sending our mobile medical units deeper into liberated areas to reach those who have been cut off from medical care — some since late February. We’re also filling the gaps created by disruptions to the medical supply chain.
With your support — TRIPLED through midnight this Giving Tuesday — our comprehensive humanitarian intervention can continue through the winter… and for as long as we’re needed. Not just here in Ukraine, but in places around the world like Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic.
Please, make a special triple-matched gift on this global day of giving and generosity. Together, and only together, can we reach or even exceed our $50,000 Giving Tuesday goal to save lives!
