People For Supporter, early voting in Georgia’s runoff election between Sen. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker began today.
Building upon our success in driving turnout in the recent midterms and in the 2020 elections, we are launching our Defend the Black Vote program in the Georgia runoff election. Our Defend the Black Vote program is a nonpartisan effort to ensure that historically disenfranchised voters are able to fully participate in democracy and cast their votes. But we’re counting on the support of our People For members to help us get out the vote for the Georgia runoff election.
The Georgia run-off systems has its roots in preventing groups that have historically been marginalized from having their votes and voices counted.[1] We can’t and won’t let this system prevent eligible voters from making their voices heard.

We’re already on the air with radio ads throughout Georgia, our peer-to-peer texting program will be sending 1 million texts to Black male voters aged 18-60 in the state, we’re mobilizing African American pastors to help ensure members of their congregations are able to get to the polls, and we are working with world-renowned visual artists to inspire voters to make their voices heard.
Every dollar donated today will be immediately put to use in our robust get out the vote effort:
- $15 – Helps print materials to support our GOTV efforts on the ground.
- $25 – Helps with transportation to the polls being organized by our ministers’ network
- $50 – Helps us reach more Black men to turn out and vote via our peer-to-peer texting program.
- $75 – Helps us sponsor more billboards encouraging voters to turn out
- $150 – Helps keep us on the air with our radio ads across Georgia through Election Day.
