I’m sure we’re far from the only organization reaching out to you on the eve of Giving Tuesday, so I’ll be brief.

This year, OpenSecrets has continued to champion transparency in political fundraising and spending through its award-winning website ([link removed]) and newsroom ([link removed]) .

We’ve built entirely new data tools ([link removed]) and produced groundbreaking research ([link removed]) , all while keeping you informed on the state of campaign finance ([link removed]) , the surge of dark money ([link removed]) , and the rise (and fall) of influential mega donors ([link removed]) .

You won’t find a greater concentration of money in politics researchers anywhere else. What we do – tracking this mountain of money – is unique. We track where the money’s going, who it’s coming from, and what impact it has on the democratic process.

It takes countless hours and thousands of dollars to produce the data and analysis you’ve come to expect from us.

OpenSecrets is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and we work diligently to spend our resources wisely. But, we are not without expenses, especially after doubling ([link removed]) the size of our staff this past year.
