Dear John,

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday — a global day of giving in which people around the world will join together to support the causes they care about most.

Here at Farm Sanctuary, we care deeply about farm animals. And — thanks to dedicated friends like you — we have helped more than 120 animals this year through rescue, referrals, placement, and transport assistance. At the same time, we continued to provide nearly 700 rescued animals at our sanctuaries with the ongoing, individualized care they need to heal and thrive.

But we know that there are always more animals, including the billions who suffer in the agriculture industry every year, who will need our help, John. And that’s why I hope you will give us a head start on our $100,000 Giving Tuesday goal!

Please don’t wait — join Farm Sanctuary with an “early bird” Giving Tuesday gift TODAY. Your gift will help us rescue, shelter, and protect even more farm animals.

Your compassionate support will sustain Farm Sanctuary’s work this winter and beyond — helping us provide a place of hope and healing for sanctuary residents like Pippa, a lamb born on a meat production farm who was suffering from an infection in her hind leg.

Pippa’s “owners” couldn’t care for her, so they contacted Farm Sanctuary. Pippa was only six weeks old when we brought her to our New York sanctuary. Her infection was so severe that veterinarians recommended amputation. After the operation, Pippa received lots of love and high-quality care. Her mood and mobility improved, and she soon got back on her feet!

Next, it was time to find Pippa’s forever home — one with flat ground to walk and other sheep friends for company. We knew the perfect place: our Acton, California shelter.

When we take in a vulnerable animal like Pippa, we make a promise to keep them safe for the remainder of their lives — whether at Farm Sanctuary or another adoptive home — and you help us keep that promise, John. Your early bird Giving Tuesday gift today will provide the gift of sanctuary to Pippa and help countless other animals who are experiencing abuse and neglect in our nation’s unjust and oppressive food system.

Pippa has adjusted fantastically after the long journey — thanks to the help of her new herd, including gentle friends like Biscuit sheep. She’s also learning to use a custom wheelchair, which helps her run and play to her heart’s delight. Pippa is happy, healthy, and thriving today — thanks to compassionate people like you.

Farm Sanctuary exists because of the generosity of people like you who believe that every farm animal deserves to live in the same peace, comfort, and freedom that Pippa and our other residents enjoy every day. Unfortunately, we know that billions of animals are still suffering in factory farms, stockyards, and slaughterhouses as we speak.

That’s why I am asking you to make your Giving Tuesday gift early this year and help us immediately get to work to combat cruel systems and give more farm animals the love and care they deserve.

Please, if you are able, help us make Giving Tuesday a big day for farm animals by joining Farm Sanctuary with an early gift today. You will help provide the funds we need to create a world in which sanctuary replaces exploitation.
