Dear John

We need to talk about pesticides. We’re in an ecological emergency but the use of chemicals on our farmland keeps rising.

And it’s not only bees that are harmed by pesticides. Our new report shows how routine use of chemicals harms our precious wildlife including birds, earthworms, hedgehogs, and frogs, and poses a threat to our wild plants as well.

We have an opportunity to change this. Right now, the government is writing its new policy for farming without EU subsidies and drawing up a new national plan for pesticide use.

Will you make sure there's a clear plan to help farmers to reduce pesticides and make the countryside a safer place for wildlife?
YES, I'LL HELP
Too much of our countryside is being routinely doused with a cocktail of chemicals. This needs to change – but farmers are telling us they need help to get off the chemical treadmill.

Thanks to the support of people like you, in 2018 we secured a ban on three bee-harming neonicotinoid pesticides. Let’s build on that momentum and stop pesticides contaminating our countryside, our food and harming our wildlife.

It takes just 2 minutes to help secure a better future for our countryside. Will you add your name?
YES, I'LL HELP
Let’s start the year as we mean to go on – by protecting people and planet.

Thank you for your support,

Sandra
