John,
We just saw climate-focused voters make a huge difference in the 2022 midterm elections. Now we need to hold elected officials accountable for what climate science and justice demand.
On Friday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., the Center for Biological Diversity is joining actor, activist and Fire Drill Fridays founder Jane Fonda for an in-person climate emergency rally in Washington, D.C. The rally will include an exciting lineup of elected officials, frontline fighters, celebrity guests and an award-winning brass band.
Join us for a day of inspiration and action as we sound the alarm on the climate crisis. Make your voice heard and demand a cleaner, healthier world. Wear red to help us make a bold impact.
What: Fire Drill Fridays rally with Jane Fonda
Where: Freedom Plaza, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20004
When: Friday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET
We’re calling on President Biden and Congress to act on the climate emergency, starting by rejecting Sen. Manchin’s legislation to fast-track oil and gas projects across the United States. Strong advocacy and public pressure helped halt the bill earlier this fall. But Sens. Manchin and Schumer plan to bring it back and attach it to must-pass legislation. We need to come together to stop it once and for all.
Urgent action is needed to stem the climate emergency. Join us on Friday to make it loud and clear: We need elected officials to lead on climate.
