I am about to ask you to add your first contribution of 2020 to our campaign for U.S. Senate in North Carolina. I hope you will give me a moment to explain why this request is so important — especially today.

We’ve finally made it to 2020. Simply put, every action you take (or don’t take) this year will affect whether we take back the Senate in November or remain locked in to two more years of Washington Republican control. I've been so grateful for your help so far in this campaign, and I'm counting on your full support every day between now and Election Day to win.

We know my opponent, Republican Senator Thom Tillis, is vulnerable. His approval ratings are in the low 30s, our race is neck-and-neck, and several major election forecasters have rated our race a “toss-up.” But this election won’t be a cakewalk.

Since our campaign is refusing to take contributions from corporate PACs — while Tillis makes out like a bandit thanks to wealthy GOP mega-donors in Mitch McConnell’s rolodex — we don’t have the sort of advantages our opponent does. We’re doing things the right way, which is why I need your help.

Our campaign relies on small-dollar donations from supporters like you to keep us going strong.
