J Street

Friends,

With Giving Tuesday coming up in 48 hours, I want to be honest: 2022 hasn’t been the easiest fundraising year for advocacy non-profits like J Street.

In a critical midterm year with fundamental rights on the ballot, many have understandably prioritized support for candidates and political action committees (including J Street’s own PAC). Inflation and economic uncertainty have also weighed on many people’s minds.

That’s why the upcoming period -- beginning Giving Tuesday and continuing until the end of the year -- is so important. Like many groups, we rely on this period for almost half our annual grassroots funding.

With Benjamin Netanyahu and a slew of right-wing extremists on the verge of taking power in Israel -- and the looming specter of increased settlement expansion, new anti-democratic policies, and escalating violence that harms both Israelis and Palestinians -- we’re counting on your support in the coming weeks to fund our work into 2023.

Please consider making an early Giving Tuesday contribution of $18, $36 or $54 -- or any other amount -- to fuel our work today >>

There’s too much on the line. We can't afford to fall short.

Together, our pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy movement is going to need to push the US harder than ever to deter acts of annexation, to oppose deepening occupation, and to confront the extremists expected to take key roles in the new government.

We’re going to have to stand up for democracy and our democratic values -- here at home as well as in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Thank you, sincerely, for your consideration this Giving Tuesday.

J Street is the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans who want Israel to be secure, democratic and the national home of the Jewish people. Working in American politics and the Jewish community, we advocate policies that advance shared US and Israeli interests as well as Jewish and democratic values, leading to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
