Taylor Force was an American graduate of West Point who served one tour of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan and came home totally unscathed. He then enrolled or an MBA program, where the class took a trip to Israel, where he was fatally stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist. The Palestinian Authority has a horrific program offering lavish financial inducements to murder American and Israeli citizens. An Act of Law, named after Taylor Force, was passed in March of 2018 to stop US aid to the Palestinian Authority until the PA immediately stops this reprehensible program, known by many as “pay for slay.”
Unfortunately, the Biden administration has ignored the Taylor Force Act and has recently offered half a billion dollars to the Palestinian Authority. We are also aware that a non-public State Department report has been recently released indicating that the P.A. “continued to provide payments to Palestinian prisoners who had committed acts of terrorism, as well as the families of the so-called martyrs” who died while committing acts of terrorism. The rewarding of this money to the Palestinian Authority directly contravenes US law.
EMET had worked assiduously on the passage of the Taylor Force Act in 2018 and is now working on the Talor Force Martyr Payment Prevention Act of 2021, which prevents international financial institutions from laundering money to the Palestinian Authority. And has helped with a November 2, 2022, congressional letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken asking, among other things, whether or not the provision of economic assistance to the Palestinian Authority contradicts both the letter and the spirit of the Taylor Force Act.
