Julián Castro is a powerfully important voice for our country.

As a presidential candidate, he proposed bold and progressive policies —
including reforming our immigration laws, fixing our broken criminal
justice system, improving access to child care, and protecting the rights
and equality of people with disabilities.

He’s made the Democratic primary more substantive, and his vision was
always clear: Lift up the voices of the people who are struggling the
most, and fight for deep, systemic reform.

I’m deeply grateful to receive his endorsement today. It is an honor to
fight side by side with Julián Castro for the big, structural change we
need.

We’ve got a lot to do in the last few weeks before the first caucuses and
primaries. And our team is ready to make every single day count. But we
can only reach every caucus-goer and voter we need to reach if grassroots
donors like you continue to chip in.

[ [link removed] ]Will you join the fight alongside Julián Castro and me and make a
contribution today to bring our campaign closer to victory?

Julián and I both had the honor to serve in President Obama’s
administration, where we had the opportunity to work on a number of issues
that touch people’s lives.

And we both have succeeded because we got a shot at the American Dream.

Julián’s grandmother, Victoria, came to the United States at seven years
old. She never made it past the fourth grade, but worked hard to teach her
family the value of hard work as she cleaned houses and worked as a maid.
She passed on those values of hard work and perseverance to Julián’s
mother, who passed them on to Julián and his twin brother, Joaquin.

Both of us were blessed with the kind of opportunity we’ve had because we
worked hard, our families worked hard, and also because our country gave
us a shot to succeed.

Now, Julián and I are fighting side by side to ensure that families in our
country today can have the same opportunity to achieve their dreams as
ours did.

I admired the campaign that Julián Castro ran, and I’ll continue to fight
for our vision of justice and opportunity — where everyone gets the chance
to succeed and thrive.

I paid close attention to the big ideas he was adding to the race (I
always appreciate when someone has a plan), and I was always glad to run
into him on the trail, from debate stages to the Iowa Steak Fry.

Tomorrow, we’ll come together again and speak at an event in New York
City.

We’ll talk about putting political and economic power in the hands of the
people, where it belongs.

And we’ll continue to fight to make it happen — but we can’t do it alone.

[ [link removed] ]Friend, please make another donation today to fight alongside
me and Julián Castro, and help make our government and our economy work
for everyone — not just a thin slice at the top.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here: [link removed]
