The biggest threat to our rural hospitals is slashing federal healthcare programs like Medicare and Medicaid. Since 2010 nearly 100 rural hospitals have closed nation-wide, and more are at risk.
Fifty-two out of fifty-six counties in Montana are currently experiencing primary care shortages.
