Last year we got the alarming news that, if we continue to destroy our environment, large portions of our city will be underwater by 2100. Just this week there was an article detailing plans for “managed retreat” as sea levels rise -- meaning we would abandon neighborhoods ahead of time to avoid catastrophe. While I’m glad that people are preparing for the worst, you and I have a different job: We have to fight to make sure that doesn’t happen.
We need leaders in Congress willing to take real action and fight for our future. Trump and his cronies seem willing to gut any and every environmental regulation if it makes their donors a few extra bucks. 2020 is the year we put a stop to that. Will you help me?
