Last year we got the alarming news that, if we continue to destroy our environment, large portions of our city would be underwater by 2100. Just this week there was an article detailing plans for "managed retreat" as sea levels rise -- meaning we would abandon neighborhoods ahead of time to avoid catastrophe.
