In 2014, the status of a Louisana law which would severely restrict a woman’s right to choose was left in limbo by a federal district court.
Since then, multiple states have followed Louisiana in trying to overturn Roe v. Wade.
And what did our junior senator from Iowa, Joni Ernst, do last week?
She joined 200 of her conservative Congressional colleagues in signing a friend-of-the-court brief asking the Supreme Court to overturn Roe. v. Wade, calling it “haphazard” and “unworkable.”
Haphazard and unworkable are two words that apply to Senator Ernst. Dangerous and ignorant are a couple other words I’d apply to this unpopular and tone-deaf senator.
A woman’s right to control her own body should be an inviolate right. The Senate should be comprised of elected officials who actively defend this right - a right for which we fought hard to get in the first place and for which we’ve had to keep fighting for decades.
When will this madness end?
Answer: When we elect truly progressive champions of a woman’s right to choose.

Enough is enough. Let’s elect representatives who don’t waste time trying to violate a woman’s right to choose and who focus on protecting freedoms and liberties.
