I grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia. I had 11 brothers and sisters -- and while my family was short on money, we were long on love and faith.

My parents showed me the meaning of hard work -- and always told us kids we could do anything we put our minds to. It’s that very spirit that led me to become the first in my family to earn a college degree. And now, it’s the lesson I’m taking with me into the runoff election for Georgia’s Senate seat.

But I can’t do it alone. We’ve all got to roll up our sleeves and get to work. I know that we have what it takes to win this race and make history once again here in Georgia. It’ll take a tremendous amount of resources, especially when we’re short on time. That’s why I’m asking:
