We can't begin to express how thankful we are for everyone who joined this movement over the last few years -- especially those who took action in their communities during the redistricting process. We saw the impacts of fair maps on Election Day. Voters felt like their voices mattered.

Our work isn’t over yet though -- in just a few days, our affiliate organization will be in front of the Supreme Court of the United States protecting a fair map in North Carolina. And as we go into next year, we’re preparing to challenge gerrymandered maps -- and help voters prepare to redraw those maps when they’re overturned.

With so much going on, we hope you've stopped to reflect on how much we have accomplished together so far and how much more good we can do.

Our team is reflecting this week on why we joined this movement, what is on the line for each of us. Some of us are parents who want our kids to feel safe at school. Some of us have experienced our rights or our identities be legislated by gerrymandered legislatures. We all want to feel like we can make an impact in our communities when we cast our votes. Our democracy has the power to make progress for all and support the least of us. But right now, individuals can manipulate the system to put their power over the greater good. That’s why we’re committed to this work.

We can't continue this work without you. Our November fundraising goal is $15,000, and anything you can do to help would be ensure we can continue our critical work in 2023 and beyond. [[link removed]]
