This Tuesday is Giving Tuesday, but we're kickstarting our annual fundraising drive early and setting an ambitious goal of $25,000.
Why? Because, as we face the overlapping and accelerating crises of the climate emergency, rising authoritarianism, and rampant right-wing disinformation, there's never been a more important time to support the high-quality, progressive journalism of Common
Dreams.
And, candidly, if we're going to hit our fundraising goals for the year, we need this to be our best Giving Tuesday ever.
Just like everyone, our costs have risen this year. But unfortunately, donations haven't kept pace with rising
expenses. We understand that some of you might not be able to donate as much this year as you'd like or have in the past. And that's ok. We can make up the difference if more readers chip in just a little.
But the truth is that less than 1% of our readers ever make a donation. And that's what needs to change.
