It Starts With One!

As we are now fully in 2020, we wanted to remind you of the most important tool that we have in our arsenal: knowledge. We need to go back to the basic fundamentals of knowledge and understanding to pass along our message. Knowledge can only come about by education and serves as the very foundation upon which Robert Welch established The John Birch Society.

Over the years, we have seen a gradual decrease in the understanding of the word Americanism. The lack of understanding stems from the deliberate dumbing down of the American student by omitting certain facts of Americanism. Whether it is intentional or not, our country as a whole is becoming less educated and is being indoctrinated by false facts. The only real solution to this is by educating to the level of understanding.

This can be done by taking our educational material to host events at street fairs or video/information lectures and even starting a chapter in your area. Many areas of the country have produced large numbers of chapters by the diligence of one couple willing to open up their home for educational meetings. After a while, people begin to bring others to the meetings which will help spread the word about what they are learning. The ripple effect of one couple can be inspiring over time and can literally change the political atmosphere in their area. If there is just one member from each area that is able to do this, we could change a large city from ignorance to understanding in a short amount of time.

The educational process must be included in everything that we do and will be far more successful in the process of building membership and local chapters. A key note to remember is that a person who keeps in the front of their mind the idea of building local JBS Chapters will be far more successful in the long run than someone who simply hands out literature or videos.
