Africa & Europe

Thank God for the peace and calm that characterized the Kenya general elections. In a report, the Inspector General of the National Police Service was commended for the responsiveness of security agencies and the restraint with which they executed their duties during the 2022 elections. This is of huge significance in light of the previous two presidential elections that resulted in deadly police violence. To help support the police, IJM provided trainings on police accountability, crowd control and sexual and gender-based violence. The outcome of the training spoke volumes when there were no deaths caused by police in the most recent elections.
Latin America

Pray for wisdom for the IJM Guatemala team as they design a draft of a new policy that puts survivors at the center of the government response. This proposal aims to establish more precise parameters for the Public Justice System institutions when determining and executing victims' compensation and restoration.
South Asia

Praise God for a group of proactive police officers who recently intercepted 45 suspected traffickers and rescued more than 500 people! These IJM-trained officers have been monitoring common trafficking routes at train and bus stations. They were able to intercept the trafficking victims before they ended up trapped in brick kilns, farms, factories and other abusive businesses. Pray for the officers' ongoing success and for swift justice for traffickers who exploit vulnerable people.
Asia Pacific

Praise God for two years of IJM’s Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC)! For two years now the center has been able to have a global reach in ending OSEC. Pray for joy in staff as they celebrate their accomplishments and for continued growth and success in the Center.
