Dear Jack,
We need your help to stop Indigenous genocide.
Just a few months ago, the death of an Indigenous man in the Brazilian Amazon
completed a genocide that had been decades in the making. The man, known to
outsiders as “the Man of the Hole,” was the last living member of his tribe — he
had survived several genocidal attacks that killed all his friends and family,
everyone who knew his name and even the name of his tribe.

These were deliberate, targeted killings by cattle ranchers who wanted his
tribe’s land for themselves. And such brutal attacks are far from a thing of the
past; in Brazil and around the world, Indigenous peoples continue to be targeted and murdered as
they fight to protect their land and lives.
For more than 50 years, Survival has been working hand-in-hand with Indigenous
peoples on the frontlines of this fight — and, as always, we can’t do it without
you.

When you donate to Survival, you fund campaigns, critical investigations, education and practical support to
prevent the genocide of Indigenous peoples. As part of Giving Tuesday, a generous supporter has offered to match all
donations made up to £80,000/ $90,000. This means that right now, your donation to support Indigenous peoples will be
doubled, at no additional cost to you.

While there have been appalling losses of life, Indigenous peoples continue to
fight back against genocide, dispossession and abuse.
Will you stand in support of Indigenous peoples this Giving Tuesday?
Thank you,
