In the midterms, state Democrats:

Flipped four chambers to Democratic control

Won every must-hold Democratic target

And protected the veto power of Democratic governors in two key states

In fact, it is the first time since at least 1934 that the party in power has not lost a single state legislative chamber during a midterm election year!

We were able to make history by making targeted investments in campaigns, knocking on nearly seven million doors, and getting organizers on the ground to turn out voters. These wins will impact millions of people’s lives and create a strong Democratic foundation in state legislatures for years to come.

But our next fights are right around the corner: We have a key special election for a seat in the Virginia Senate coming up on January 10th – a top target for us to win in 2023. We're already laying the groundwork to win, but without you, we risk starting these campaigns behind.
