John,

It’s been a hard year for all of us. It felt like not a week went by without news of another mass shooting, in places where people should be safe. An elementary school in Uvalde, TX. A supermarket in Buffalo, NY. A university in Charlottesville, VA. An LGBTQ+ club in Colorado Springs, CO. Tragically, nowhere is safe from gun violence. So, until we change this country and end this epidemic, Brady will keep fighting.

In a moment I’m going to ask you to make a MATCHED donation to Brady in honor of Giving Tuesday. But first, I want you to know what your support has already done — because truly none of it is possible without you, John. And with your continued support, we can keep up this life-saving momentum.

1. President Biden and Congress took the most consequential action against gun violence in decades, directly addressing purchase age requirements and closing the "boyfriend" loophole. The Biden-Harris administration also finalized a rule to regulate parts and kits used to build untraceable ghost guns.

2. We took on the NRA and the gun lobby in court, earning critical victories in our ongoing fight to hold gun manufacturers like Smith & Wesson accountable. In Michigan, Brady Legal is representing the family of a 14-year-old injured in the Oxford High shooting that left four students dead and seven others injured.

3. Our efforts in communities and statehouses across the country have resulted in the recent passage of more than 35 life-saving gun violence prevention laws.

The fight against gun violence won't get any easier in 2023, but we're confident that we'll continue to make meaningful progress against this epidemic. We have a gun-violence prevention champion in the White House and a gun safety majority in the Senate, so there's still a massive opportunity to enact life-saving reforms.

But our continued work leading this movement forward depends on you chipping in as much as you can — and having it DOUBLED — to hit our Giving Tuesday goal. Every donation today will be MATCHED to fuel Brady's essential work, so please make a gift now and have it go twice as far toward defeating the NRA and saving lives from gun violence!
