Your Intentions!
Dear Friend,
This coming Sunday, November 27, is
the first Sunday of Advent which marks the beginning of a new
liturgical season; a New Year.
Then, the month of December is
dedicated to the Immaculate
Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please submit
your prayer intentions for the December 1 Operation Storm Heaven
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Have you noticed how many consumer
goods companies are producing secular Advent Calendars? Cosmetic
beauty brands, wines, beers, chocolates, snack items, even LEGO offers
an Advent Calendar. The brands urge consumers to get ready to party,
have fun, celebrate, it’s the holiday season! Really? We, as Catholics
know that the Penitential Advent Season is a time of preparation for
the coming of the Christ Child.
Here’s what our shepherd, Cardinal
Burke has said: “The Season of Advent is strong in grace for our
Christian life. In a particular way, Advent is an invitation for us to
draw nearer to the mystery of the Redemptive Incarnation, the
incomparable mystery by which God the Son took our human nature to
save us from sin and death by His Passion, Death, Resurrection and
Ascension, and to remain with us always in the Church. The Season of
Advent not only invites us to a greater intimacy with Christ – God the
Son Incarnate – in our daily lives. It gives us the grace to attain
that greater intimacy for the sake of our happiness in this life and
the fullness of our happiness in the life which is to come. Christ
Incarnate, seated in glory at the right hand of God the Father, acts
in our midst through the Sacraments of Penance and the Holy Eucharist
to draw our hearts ever more fully into His Most Sacred
Heart.”
So, let us prepare our minds and
hearts for the coming of Jesus:
~ Join me in praying the St. Andrew
Novena, sometimes called the Christmas Anticipation Prayer. Others
refer to it as the “Christmas Miracle Novena.” It is piously believed
that whoever recites the short prayer fifteen times a day, from the
feast of St. Andrew on November 30th until Christmas, will obtain what
is asked! This prayer will help you to focus on the hour and moment
when the Son of God was born. Sign up and submit
your intentions.
~ Clean your soul, not just your
house. Making a good confession before Christmas Eve is a beautiful
way to prepare for the
reception of the holy Eucharist at the Christmas Mass. To receive Our
Lord with a pure heart is one of the best gifts you can present to the
Infant King. Please read Catholic
Action’s guide on confession.
~ Recite the Holy Rosary daily, Ask the Blessed Mother to grant
you the grace of feeling a “closeness” to the Christ-Child, in the
same way Our Lady did when she carried Him in her womb. Pray the
Joyful Mysteries more often during Advent - on Sundays and Wednesdays,
instead of the Glorious Mysteries.
As a Rosary Warrior, I would like
to invite you to present your new or updated intentions and
prayer requests for the
Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass and Rosary before the 1st of
December. His Eminence will be offering a private holy mass for all of
the intentions that will be submitted.
Later in December, Cardinal Burke
will be offering two Holy Masses that will be live-streamed from the
Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
~ December 10 - a Pontifical High
Mass at 11:00 AM Central Time.
~ December 12 - Solemnity of Our
Lady of Guadalupe Bilingual Holy Mass at 12:15 PM Central
Time.

these Holy Masses:

I would like to take this
opportunity to thank you for being part of Cardinal Burke's Rosary
Crusade Operation Storm
Heaven.
Finally, if you know others who have intentions and would like
to submit them, and to help others join Operation Storm Heaven, please
forward this email to your family and friends and ask them
to click here.
Yours in the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
