96 Thanks, Again FILE: Chairman Kyle Hupfer speaks during election
night. (Nov. 8, 2022)

In case you missed our email yesterday, we hope
you had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving holiday despite that one
uninvited guest sitting at your dinner table — inflation. This year, the
average Thanksgiving dinner was a whopping 14 percent more expensive in
Indiana than last year, thanks in no small part to the disastrous agenda
of the Biden administration.

But, I digress.

I want to take this
opportunity to again thank you for everything you have done for our
party this year. As new and returning legislators gathered at the
statehouse this week to be sworn in and ceremonially start the 2023
session, I was again reminded of just how successful this past election
was. Not only did our caucuses retain supermajority control of both
cambers of the general assembly, but we expanded it while welcoming 16
new members.

This level of success isn't an accident. It's only
possible because we have a network of devoted and energized supporters.
Thanks, again, for your continued support.

And now with legislators
sworn in, we're looking forward to the beginning of the next session in
January, when Republicans will once again work to deliver results for
all Hoosiers.

Enjoy this week's newsletter and share it with a
friend.

Sincerely,

Chairman Kyle Hupfer

Holcomb's Week That WasBreaking Ground at WestGate@Crane Governor Eric
Holcomb joins others in breaking ground on a microelectronics campus at
WestGate@Crane Technology Park. (Nov. 21, 2022)
On Monday, Governor
Eric Holcomb was joined by Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers and local
officials and business executives in Odon, Indiana, to break ground on a
new microelectronics campus at WestGate@Crane Technology Park that will
power the growth of Indiana’s semiconductor industry. The $84 million
development, which has already attracted four semiconductor companies to
the state, will leverage academic, corporate and defense partners to
speed the re-shoring of semiconductor research and manufacturing in the
U.S.

“Indiana’s has a rich tradition of advanced manufacturing that
continues to push new technologies and innovations forward. Today’s
[Monday's] announcements solidify our Semiconductor Corridor strategy.
With a growing microelectronics and CHIP industry, Indiana will be at
the forefront of creating critical components to ensure both economic
and national security." — Gov. Holcomb

The
new microelectronics campus, WestGate One, which is advancing with
support from the nationally recognized Indiana Regional Economic
Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI), has already secured
four semiconductor companies – NHanced Semiconductors, which will
anchor the development; Everspin Technologies; Trusted Semiconductor
Solutions; and Reliable MicroSystems.

Together, these companies plan
to invest more than $300 million in Indiana and create up to 549 new,
specialized jobs in the coming years, advancing the verification,
validation, and production of critical microelectronics components in
the U.S.
Sens. Young and Braun Co-Sponsor IRS Accountability
Act Last week, Sens. John Thune and Chuck Grassley, along with a group
of Republican colleagues including Sens. Todd Young and Sen. Mike
Braun, introduced the IRS Funding Accountability Act to give Congress a
direct say in how the $80 billion in new funding from Washington
Democrats' so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” could be spent, hold the
IRS accountable, and provide greater transparency for the American
people.

The legislation would require the IRS to provide Congress
with an annual plan for how the agency intends to use the new IRA
funds, which would be subject to a new joint resolution of disapproval.
The bill would also require quarterly updates from the IRS and U.S.
Department of the Treasury to enable consistent and transparent
evaluation of the plans, provide accountability for any misuse of
funds, and guard against violations of taxpayer rights. Failure to
submit timely and thorough plans or reports would result in financial
penalties, including IRA funds being rescinded on a daily basis until
the IRS complies with the reporting requirements.

“Hoosier families
are struggling with high prices and record-high inflation. Before
Washington Democrats spend more taxpayer dollars, we need transparency
about where the money is going and how it will be used. Our bill will
hold the IRS accountable." — Sen. Young

 Republicans Secure Majority in U.S.
House
Late last week, Republicans officially gained control of the
U.S. House of Representatives, ending Democrats' full control of
Washington, D.C., and dealing a blow to President Joe Biden and his
agenda.

According to
