Dear friend,
Today is Thanksgiving. As we gather around the table with our friends, family, and loved ones, I ask that we remember those who can't celebrate with their families today due to unjust, lengthy sentences that are keeping them behind bars. We also give thanks for those who are able to be at home today, now that they are free.
Every day, FAMM fights for reforms that reunite families and provide second chances. From trying to pass the EQUAL Act to bringing the most vulnerable individuals home early because of compassionate release, we strive to create a justice system that all of us can be thankful for.
As always, I am grateful for our advocates and our FAMMilies — and that includes you, friend. I hope you have a wonderful day.
With gratitude,
Kevin Ring
President, FAMM
