Friend,
Happy Thanksgiving! Today, I’m reflecting on the many blessings in my life – both large and small.
First and foremost, I am grateful for my amazing family. Matt is the most amazing husband and father. Max and Jax are my greatest accomplishments and biggest gifts – I am so lucky to be their mom. There is nothing more fulfilling than watching them grow into kind, intelligent, curious young men. And of course, Bandit is everyone’s favorite family member – he brings us so much joy and certainly keeps us on our toes!
I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve Iowans, and that you entrusted me to be your voice for another two years. I promise to always stand for our values, safeguard your hard-earned paycheck, and work 24/7 to improve your life. Serving you is the greatest honor of my life and I will never take this opportunity for granted.
To our service members and law enforcement officers who aren’t spending today with their loved ones: thank you. You have all of our gratitude and we are thankful for your service and sacrifice to keep us all safe and ensure we can celebrate this Thanksgiving.
There have been no shortage of difficulties for our community and our country over the past few years. I am endlessly inspired by, and grateful for, the kindness, resilience, and strength of Iowans in the face of adversity. Iowans have proven, time and again, that we live in the best state with the best people. We are so lucky to call Iowa home.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!
Best,
