Hi,

As we reflect on the past year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for your support of EARTHDAY‍.ORG’s work. It has been a critical year in progressing the environmental movement and continuing to protect the planet and its people. I am so thankful for what we have been able to achieve together.

Throughout it all, we remain devoted to our mission to diversify, educate, and activate the environmental movement.

We are now on the other side of this month's COP27 UN Climate Conference in Egypt. Our Climate Education Hub activated a global audience through livestreams and digital events. We talked to youth leaders demanding climate education for students worldwide, city mayors leading the way to Invest In Our Planet, and featured indigenous people transforming climate action. We looked at technological solutions to the climate crisis as well as the problem of waste management as demonstrated through sustainable fashion. And thank you to the thousands who were able to visit us and participate in person at the pavilion in Sharm El Sheikh.

It is also important to recognize the critical environmental work done year-round through our global programs and acknowledge each success, no matter the size, as these are what create true change. In 2023, with your support, so much was accomplished, including: activating a billion people on Earth Day globally in support of the environment; planting millions of trees across the planet; collecting tons of garbage as well as inspiring 20 million volunteers to participate in cleanups; raising the profile of climate literacy and education to the global stage; and successfully advocating for policy and legislation in support of biodiversity, global pollution, sustainable fashion, regenerative agriculture, and many other issues facing our planet.

None of this would have been possible without you, and I am so grateful for your support. As we look to the next steps in our fight for climate action, environmental justice, and ecosystem restoration, we hope that you will continue to stand with us. Thank you for working with us to build a more just and sustainable future for our planet.
