For many years, American and Israeli victims of Palestinian terrorism were treated as though they were disposable “pawns” on some giant geo-strategic chessboard; that somehow the terrorism would magically disappear if there were some sort of “peace accord.” Unfortunately, the simple pursuit of justice has proven elusive for terrorists, such as Ahlam Tamimi, who was responsible for the tragic Sbarro Pizzeria bombing on August 9. 2001 that killed 15 innocent people. including two Americans, Malki Roth, 15, and Judith Greenbaum, 31. She has taken refuge in Jordan, which signed an extradition treaty with the United States, but now refuses to acknowledge it and extradite her to the United States for punishment.

EMET has worked tirelessly over the years to pursue justice for terrorists who have murdered American victims of Palestinian terrorism. This included the quest for the issuing of equal rewards for the pursuit of Palestinian terrorists who have murdered American citizens, the opening up of an office in the Department of Justice for American Victims of International Terrorism (pursuant to our passage of the Koby Mandell Act), and working on many Congressional letters for the extradition of the mastermind of the Sbarro Pizzeria bombing, Ahlam Tamimi, from Jordan. EMET believes there could never be true peace in societies where children are brainwashed to murder innocent civilians and when the pursuit of justice is eclipsed or ignored because of some grand foreign policy strategic scheme.
