Dear friend,
With my favorite holiday just a few days away, I’m remembering the words of Governor Wilbur Cross’ 1936 Thanksgiving Proclamation. Indeed, we’ve come “by a way that we did not know to the end of another year” – a challenging, surprising year – and yet I’m glad to have come this way with you, friend.
Especially this Thursday, but also every day, I’m most thankful for the people in my life. To my husband, my sons, daughters-in-law, our grandchildren – to our big family and friends, to my constituents and supporters – I count you among my blessings.
And, of course, thank you once again for re-electing me this year. It is one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve in Congress – there’s much yet to be done, and I look forward to continuing that work in Washington.
From my family and me, I wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
