Dear John,

It is with gratitude and solidarity that I am sharing with you, our 2021 Annual Report. As we approach the end of 2022  - we've taken a moment to reflect and highlight what came before.

In 2021, our 174 security grants improved the safety of women, trans, and gender-diverse feminist activists, as they faced digital and physical harassment, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and threats due to their activism. Our 95 opportunity grants supported actions that changed laws and set new precedents for equality, public campaigns that organized communities into action, and healing initiatives that built practices of collective care. In total, UAF provided 328 rapid response grants to activists across our regions, totaling $2.4 Million USD.

It is with you as our movement allies, our partners, our supporters, and our feminist co-conspirators - that we can report on the challenges activists overcame, on the highlights of progress and victories of movements, and on our collective commitment to continue working for and striving towards - the feminist future we deserve.

We look forward to sharing with you our future updates - of the 2022 year that is quickly closing. Until then, all of us at Urgent Action Fund thank you for sharing our dream of a just, equitable, and peaceful world.

In gratitude,

Kate Kroeger
