HU Director of Peacebuilding Leslie Wingender reflects in this blog on attending the Colombia Truth Commission’s recent event where their final report was presented to the international community.
Maria Kisumbi, HU Director of Policy & Government Relations, joined a panel discussion at the Center for Strategic & International Studies on the topic of “The Changing Landscape: Engaging Non-traditional Partners.”

HU Managing Director for Peacebuilding Melanie Greenberg moderated a powerful panel discussion at the Keough School of Global Affairs on the interconnectedness of peace and nature conversation. Watch a recording of the conversation.

Kehinde Togun, HU Managing Director for Public Engagement, was recently appointed to serve on Peace Direct’s U.S. Board of Directors.

In partnership with Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and POMED, HU will virtually host the African Human Rights Leaders Summit, an event that aims to provide an independent platform to raise and integrate the voices and views of African human rights and civil society leaders, as well as members of African civic groups and the diaspora ahead of the upcoming U.S.-African Leaders Summit.

Also in the lead up to the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, HU will host an event focused on "Elevating Voices of African Migrant Workers to Ensure Democratic Dividends." The discussion will address systemic challenges that leave migrant workers without access to their fundamental rights in the workplace, as well as strategies to uplift their voices to build collective power and advance bold, vibrant democracy for all people.
