Welcome to the Healthy Futures of Texas monthly newsletter!

As the holiday season approaches, we would like to thank you for allowing us to continue our work expanding programs and engaging teens and young adults in our Texas communities to address the gaps in access to statewide sexual health education and resources.

We appreciate your support and would like to keep you updated with our monthly news. Through these newsletters, you will receive the most relevant information on what is happening in the field of sexual and reproductive health each month.
 
8th Annual Student Film Contest
Healthy Futures of Texas invites teens from Texas high schools to share their views on issues affecting their sexual and reproductive health, using film as a medium. These films will be judged by a distinguished panel of judges, with the best ones screened at the event in March 2023. Winning filmmakers receive a cash prize.

12th Annual Statewide Symposium
There will be something for everyone at the 2023 Symposium! Programming will be available both in-person and virtually so grab your spot today.

Healthy Futures of Texas’ Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and the Dallas Youth Commission (YC) proudly hosted the 2022 Town Hall for Teens. The event provided YAB members and YC members the opportunity to raise their sexual health concerns with community leaders.

The YAB is an educational platform for teenagers to make positive changes in their community. Through peer-to-peer conversations, community events, and parent engagement, the group addresses a range of issues including sex education for youth and young adults, and equitable access to reproductive health care for underserved communities.
