Should more states add ballot initiatives to protect abortion rights?

On Election Day, Michigan voters passed a historic ballot measure – protecting abortion rights in their state constitution. 

Michigan is leading by example of how we can protect abortion rights following the reversal of Roe v. Wade. We’re reaching out to 500 Democrats in your area and are counting on your response: do you think more states should add ballot initiatives to protect abortion access?

Prior to Roe v. Wade, Michigan had a 1931 law on the books criminalizing abortion. And almost immediately after Roe was reversed, Michigan Republicans tried to reinstate this dangerous law!

But because of the work of Democratic leaders statewide, abortion remained legal in Michigan. And now thanks to Michigan voters, it’s protected forever!

States have complete control over abortion rights now, and Michigan voters took power into their own hands. In the aftermath of the Roe v. Wade reversal, do you think more states should add ballot initiatives to make abortion legal?
