Dear John, As we near the end of the year, I have been reflecting on the fact that WOLA will soon celebrate its 50th Anniversary.
What began as a movement galvanized by the Chilean coup of 1973, has now become a thriving organization, a trusted voice in Washington, D.C., and an authority on Latin America worldwide. But at our core, we remain a community of committed and passionate individuals — made possible by the trust and investment of supporters like you. During this season of gratitude I want to extend my most heartfelt THANK YOU! THANK YOU for standing with us as together we pursue the necessary work of advocacy for human rights. Your solidarity with WOLA allows us to champion critical policy changes that promote democracy, rule of law, and justice.
As I think about what is to come and the challenging trends we are witnessing throughout Latin America, I am encouraged by the steadfast support of our generous network. Advocacy work must be done in the community. And alongside our regional partners, I am grateful WOLA can count you as part of that community. I look forward to continuing our fight for human rights in the Americas…together. |
