State School Board Votes For American & Texas History,
No to CRT!

The anti-Critical Race Theory Law (Senate Bill 3), authored by Senator Bryan Hughes, requires that Social Studies standards follow the law’s requirements by the end of the year 2022. The Board met in September to take their first vote on the adjustments to the current standards students are learning to protect them from Critical Race Theory.

The SBOE heard public testimony on the Social Studies alignment with SB 3 on Wednesday, Nov. 16 with a final vote Friday of 11-2 making Social Studies CRT free!

The Biden administration proposed a federal rule to redefine “sex,” which would allow biological males to compete against women in sports, allow men into women’s private spaces, and promote gender ideology in schools.

In a recent ruling, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Amarillo Division, determined that “because Title IX does not protect ‘sexual orientation’ or ‘gender identity' status, neither does Section 1557.
