Dear John,

On Thanksgiving Eve, I am thankful to my colleagues in Congress, President Joe Biden, and the American people for our incredible progress this Congress.

Over the past two years, House Democrats have led extraordinary progress for American families. Millions will save up to $2,800 on health insurance, and pay less for insulin. Our elders on Medicare will not pay more than $2,000 per year for prescription drugs. We made unprecedented progress on climate change. The country created more jobs than in any two year period in American history.

We are by no means perfect. Over the past week, we have grieved with our neighbors over 7 mass shootings in 7 days. Too many people can't afford health care, and families and children still go hungry in the United States. The price of housing and many household goods still hasn't returned to pre-pandemic levels.

There is still so much to do, but we have a lot to be thankful for.
