Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so grateful, honored, and humbled by the outpouring of support over the last 20 months as I ran for the US Congress (MD4). It has been a profound experience.
Although the outcome is not what we had hoped for, the results were still surprisingly divided along party lines. That is true for many of the key races in Maryland.
This race was never about me. It has always been about serving and supporting the people of MD4 and about prioritizing our community above politics. People above Party. We did not set out to make history, but with your support our campaign is the second highest Republican fundraising campaign in MD4 since 1987. We were also the first MD4 Republican campaign since 1975 to use mass media and run a strong grassroots campaign. I personally met nearly 32,000 people on streets, sidewalks, front doorsteps or traffic lights. Our team made 58,739 calls, sent over 2.25 million texts to 188,663 voters and placed signs throughout the District.
Through this, I saw the level of pain and misery that so many in MD4 have accepted as their only option. To many folks, what I heard and saw is unimaginable. It occurs right here in a Congressional District that is a stone's throw away from the White House and a district where the leaders of the Democrat Party openly enrich themselves, while our neighbors' suffering deepens. My heart is deeply moved and troubled by the direction of our District, State and Nation. We must organize and mobilize even more!
Please keep in mind, this is not the end. This is another new beginning. We are looking forward to partnering with other like-minded people, who love God and Country, to make a difference in MD4. From my heart to yours, Thank you…and stay tuned for more! God Bless!
