Friend, before Colleen and I log off to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to share some of the things I'm especially grateful for this year – and that starts with you.

Just a few short weeks ago, this team defended our Senate majority against all the odds. The credit for this incredible victory goes directly to supporters like you: people who stood by our Democratic values and candidates even when it was hard. People who chipped in $5, $10, whatever they could spare time and time again. People who not only believed in a better future, but chose to fight for it.

With my friend Sen. Warnock locked in a tough runoff election, our work is far from done. But I know that, with this team behind us, Democrats will win again in Georgia and enter the new year with an expanded Senate majority.

I am also especially grateful to have had the opportunity to serve our party as chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Leading this amazing team through such a pivotal and consequential election has been both the challenge and the honor of a lifetime. Together, we have empowered voters all across the country to reject extremism, to win the leadership they deserve and to take their futures into their own hands. I am so thankful to have played a role in this work.

Finally, I want to offer my personal thanks to our nation's veterans, our active duty service members and their families. They have sacrificed both to defend our democracy and keep our families safe as we celebrate the holidays – and every day. I am forever grateful for their service to our great nation.

I hope that you spend this week with loved ones and that your Thanksgiving celebrations are full of peace, warmth and, of course, plenty of good food.
