John, we’re one week away from Giving Tuesday!
This year, you can help ARC achieve our goals of ending mass incarceration, providing reentry support for formerly incarcerated people, and pass more just and equitable policies.
We have a lofty goal of raising $25,000 in honor of our 2,500 Members who have successfully benefitted from the wrap-around reentry services that ARC is able to provide because of supporters like you! Would you consider making a gift to help us reach our goal?
This year, we're proud of our achievements.
We co-sponsored these State bills with your help:
- SB 731 - Sunsetting Criminal Convictions
- AB 2629 - Full Dismissal for Juveniles
- AB 1924 - Removing Barriers to Employment
- AB 2417 - Youth Bill of Rights which restores rights to Juvenile Justice-Involved Youth
- AB 160 - By the Committee on Budget-Public Safety Trailer Bill which expands the eligibility pool of AB 2147
- AB 178 - $50 Million granted towards workforce development for formerly incarcerated people
- SB 1106 - The Fresh Start Act
And with your help we also:
- Graduated 2,856 incarcerated people in California’s State Prisons through the Hope And Redemption Team
- Started Credible Messenger Mentoring in Central Juvenile Hall and Campus Kilpatrick.
- Placed 62 Members into full-time careers with four Members placed in internships and four of the internships turning into full-time employment.
This Giving Tuesday, we are asking for supporters like you to help us continue this positive momentum. We have been successful in changing hearts and minds throughout the state, but our work is not done. Please consider making a gift in honor of those who are still incarcerated and cannot spend Thanksgiving with their friends and families.
Thank you so much for considering this.
Sincerely,
Sam Lewis
Executive Director
