Donald Trump has announced that he will be running for a second presidential term in the 2024 election.

But the fact remains clear: Trump and his fellow insurrectionists are disqualified from holding future public office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

By inciting the attack on the Capitol in an effort to prevent the certification of his own electoral defeat, Donald Trump engaged in a violent insurrection and violated his oath of office. Meanwhile, his allies in Congress provided insurrectionists with aid and publicly supported this seditious raid. Neither Trump nor his Congressional allies have been held accountable.
