Dear John,
Voters want an America where we have freedom over our own bodies, where we have economic security for ourselves and our families, and where our communities respect and honor all of us. And they showed up for this year’s Midterms.
South Dakota expanded Medicaid, providing life-saving medical care to 45,000 people.
Voters in Michigan, Vermont, and California voted to protect reproductive freedom, while voters in Kentucky and Montana rejected abortion bans.
Overwhelmingly, voters supported candidates who presented a progressive vision of the future at the polls on November 8th.
These results inspire hope, but we are at democracy’s crucial moment.
