Dear Responsible Statecraft Readers!

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching this week I would like to say how grateful we are for your support and readership throughout 2022. It’s been a year of growth forResponsible Statecraft ([link removed](EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_11_22_2022_16_32)&mc_cid=a3fc9b0ec9&mc_eid=UNIQID) in many ways: we’ve reached a half a million monthly page views, expanded our excellent reporting through the hiring of Connor Echols ([link removed](EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_11_22_2022_16_32)&mc_cid=a3fc9b0ec9&mc_eid=UNIQID) this summer, and provided what I believe to be the most independent, professional and interesting analysis of the Ukraine War since the Russian invasion in February.

Connor’s weekly “Diplomacy Watch ([link removed](EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_11_22_2022_16_32)&mc_cid=a3fc9b0ec9&mc_eid=UNIQID) ” dispatches have established a baseline for U.S. efforts to help end that war, and now has a dedicated following. Our investigative reporter Eli Clifton ([link removed](EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_11_22_2022_16_32)&mc_cid=a3fc9b0ec9&mc_eid=UNIQID) has continued to hammer away at the nexus of campaign funding, foreign lobbying, the private arms industry, and undue influence on American defense policies, here and abroad.

Thanks in part to an excellent roster of staff and outside contributors, our ongoing coverage of U.S. foreign policy and national security — whether it be on Russia, China, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the military industrial complex, or Washington politics — has been fresh, thought-provoking, and consistent with the message of realism and restraint, garnering more attention and support every day from readers like you.

In the last year, RS articles have been linked, quoted, or shared by the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today and Politico. Individuals across the political spectrum, from Rep. Ilhan Omar and actor John Cusak on the left to Sen. Rand Paul on the right, and social critic Russell Brand in the independent middle, have shared RS content on social media. Our transpartisan approach to foreign policy news and views has strong appeal, and that is born out in the wide variety of folks who are writing for us, reading us, and yes, talking about us.

We are definitely onto something.

Emboldened, we hope to keep building out our reporting staff, seek more interesting and heterodox writers, and find ways to deliver RS to a wider audience than ever.

Please consider your support to RS so we can continue to bring you the best, and help us grow into a foreign policy media platform that the Washington blob couldn’t ignore if they tried!
