AIPAC and the pro-Israel community have much to be thankful for this year. With support from members like you, we worked with Congress to advance important bipartisan initiatives that will help keep Israel safe and America strong.
Congress allocated $3.3 billion in security aid to Israel – with no added conditions. These funds are critical to ensuring Israel maintains its qualitative military edge to defend itself, by itself, in a dangerous region.
Congress approved $1 billion to replenish Iron Dome and $500 million for U.S.-Israel missile defense cooperation. When Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired 1,100 rockets at Israel over three days in August, Iron Dome saved countless lives by intercepting those rockets before they could strike Israeli communities.
Congress passed the Israel Relations Normalization Act. This bipartisan bill will support and expand recent peace and normalization agreements between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
The House voted 424-2 to adopt the Stop Iranian Drones Act. This bipartisan legislation is key to preventing Iran and its terrorist proxies from acquiring more lethal drones to arm Russia and threaten both the United States and Israel.
These accomplishments are significant. And they are just a few of the important efforts you helped advance with your activism and support. But despite these great strides, our work to keep Israel safe is far from over.
As you enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend, I hope you will take a moment to show your support for AIPAC by joining today and help us continue our important work.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
