Hi John,

Your support of the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is something all of us here are deeply grateful for. Not just during this season of gratitude ─ but each and every day.

Recently, I received a beautiful letter from Anne, a former NIJC client. I met Anne back in 2015 when she reached out to NIJC for assistance with her case. We helped her file an application and it took the government more than six years to adjudicate. Finally, last November, her case was approved!

Since then, we helped Anne enter the United States lawfully and reunite with her family. And now that she has lawful immigration status, Anne is able to work to provide for her family and stabilize her situation.

You changed Anne’s life and I can’t thank you enough. I’m sharing her letter with you here so you can read for yourself the life-changing difference you helped make possible for her and her daughter.

Anne with her daughter, Christine

Dear Ms. Olave, one thing I will remember for my lifetime is that you said to me, "get you back to the U.S." which seeded in my heart and became a strong encouragement in me. It has been three years since you found me via LinkedIn. You carried my hand throughout each stage of the process, prepared me for each step I need to make. The great patience you have and your expertise really amazed me. Eventually you fulfilled your promise and miraculously got me back!! You made it come true for a mom to get together with her daughter. Wiped her tears and started her new life. All I want to say to you is endless thank you and thank you...

Sincerely yours,
Anne

To borrow Anne’s words, all I want to say to you is an endless thank you. Because you stand with NIJC, we can stand for families like Anne and Christine.

From all of us here at NIJC ─ thank you for being a part of our community.

With my deepest gratitude,

Trisha Teofilo Olave

P.S. Here's a photo of me and Anne after she won her case:
