Team, I know you’ve probably heard the news, too: The Republican Party officially recaptured the House majority.

This isn’t good news but I’m still as determined as ever to advocate for working Nevadans.

I’ll tell you more about what this means for us moving forward but if you’re too busy right now, I’m asking you to chip in to help me keep up the fight in the House.

Now that the GOP has control of the House, here’s what we should expect:

— Some of the Party’s most radical figures will take leadership posts and others will be assigned to important positions on committees. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, the list goes on.

— The Republican Party’s slight majority is already causing tension between members of Congress who crave leadership positions. Instead of representing their constituents, they’re already serving their own political gain.

— After the Republicans sort out their infighting, they’ll make sure to prioritize the far-right agenda that they promised on the campaign trail. Blocking reproductive freedom, cutting Social Security and Medicare, and gutting the Affordable Care Act will all be options for the GOP.

The new Republican House majority hasn’t even been sworn in yet, but it’s already clear that these next two years will be challenging.
