John, we’ve had
some incredible achievements aside from Election Day recently.

[ [link removed] ]Before we tell you about two huge accomplishments from our Real Justice
District Attorneys, can you make a donation right now to help fund our
work to defend our elected DAs and start our search for our next round of
justice champions for 2023?

First, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón charged LA
Sheriff’s Deputy Rimen Pineda for shooting and killing David Ordaz last
year in East LA in front of his family.

Everything about the shooting was preventable. With the power of the
police department, Pineda could have gotten away with it, without any
consequences.

But George refused to let that happen. He made sure that Pineda was held
accountable. THIS right here is why we do this work everyday to elect
District Attorneys who will hold cops accountable.

Second, in New Orleans, Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams —
who we helped elect in 2020 — helped free Raymond Flanks. Raymond is a
Black man who was blamed for a string of robberies and a murder back in
the 1980s.

His brother testified he was home at the time of the murder he was
arrested for — yet he was tried twice and held in jail for 39 YEARS.

After nearly 4 decades in prison, Jason’s agreed that withheld grand jury
testimony and freshly reviewed police reports cast serious doubt on his
guilt. And because of Jason’s work, Raymond was finally set FREE.

This is just one part of the amazing work that Jason’s Civil Rights
Division is doing to overturn old convictions. THIS right here is why we
do this work every day to elect District Attorneys who will free innocent
people trapped within the justice system.

Every day, we see the incredible work our DAs are accomplishing on the
ground, carrying out their campaign promises to transform the system,
right the wrongs of the past, and protect the people of their community.

And when we seek out candidates to endorse, we make sure they are going to
advance this movement and set examples like this for District Attorneys
nationwide. 

That’s why we need your help to jumpstart our next endorsement round while
continuing to protect our elected DAs whose work is under attack from
well-funded conservative opponents.
