West Duwamish Wet Weather Storage Facility

Up to two artists or artist-led teams from King County, WA will work with 4Culture and King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) to create innovative, new work that creates an emotional connection to one of the most important resources of our world: water.

Deadline: December 8, 2022 by 4:00 PM PDT
Budget: $40,000 each ($8,000 fee, up to $32,000 for implementation). Budgets are inclusive of artist fee, and implementation. Washington State Sales/Use Tax may apply depending on the artist work
Eligibility: Open to artists residing in King County, WA. Artists in a range of disciplines may apply, including performing, literary, visual, time-based media, and social practice. Up to two artists will be commissioned. The artistic outcome may include performances, publications, films or videos, events, installations, as well as temporary interventions or artist-initiated actions

Gallery 4Culture 

Gallery 4Culture has a forty-plus year history of presenting innovative and underrepresented artists and art forms in solo and small-group exhibitions.

Deadline: December 15, 2022 by 4:00 PM PDT
Budget: $1,000 honorarium to help defray expenses. Artists are responsible for the delivery, installation and de-installation of their work, and for supplying and insuring all electronic equipment used in their show
Eligibility: Open to artists residing in King County, WA. Artists working in all media and genres (except performance art) may apply. Applicants may not be represented by a commercial art gallery at the time of submission. Members of artist run collectives and cooperative galleries are eligible

Eligibility: A nominee must have significantly contributed to the poetic legacy of Washington State, show demonstrable commitment to serving as an ambassador for poetry to audiences throughout Washington State, be a current Washington State resident and reside primarily in Washington State, and not be a previous Washington State Poet Laureate.
