They’re right. Now that Summer Lee has overcome all of AIPAC’s hateful, divisive attacks and secured her place in Congress, it’s time for us to get really serious about this situation. We have had some historic wins, but there is no doubt that AIPAC tried to weaken our movement along the way.

They poured millions of dollars into attacks on progressive, working class candidates of color. They sowed doubt and confusion. And they endorsed hundreds of extremist Republicans who want to overturn elections. AIPAC is a dangerous threat to the success of our progressive movement, to free and fair elections, and even the future of our democracy.

Bernie Sanders and AOC are raising the alarm about AIPAC. Those of us who are often attacked by corporate powers and the political establishment recognize their tactics.

Not so long ago, the DCCC blacklisted any vendor who worked with a progressive challenger to a Democratic incumbent. They soon found out they couldn’t contain our movement, but they set a precedent. Now AIPAC is using that same strategy to target any progressive who disagrees with their far-right agenda.

AIPAC has shown they’re willing to do what it takes to destabilize our elections and try to defeat our candidates. And (big surprise), the Democratic establishment has shown that they are NOT willing to stand up for progressives, even when control of Congress was on the line.

So we’re starting our own preparations immediately, to raise the money we’ll need to fight back more next time. AIPAC showed their hand — and we know they’ll be back with more millions to spend against us. So we’ll be ready with more firepower of our own.
