Community members are invited to join a Kitsap World AIDS Day remembrance and celebration next Thursday, Dec. 1.

World AIDS Day [ [link removed] ] was created in 1988 to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, encourage support for people living with the condition, and celebrate the lives of those lost to the epidemic. The first World AIDS Day event was hosted in Kitsap County just a few years later.

This Kitsap World AIDS Day event will include guest speakers, an open mic for community sharing, and a candlelight reflection.* *A full program will be circulated prior to the gathering.
